OPEN THE DOORS TO CHRIST
THE NEW EVANGELIZATON

Dear Reader,

Evangelization means teaching, preaching by example... and if necessary, use words.

What is it we Catholics preach?

We preach Christ Crucified!

We preach Jesus!

We preach that Jesus is the Lord, the Son of the Most High God. He has come to give you a gift. The gift is none other than eternal life united to the Most High God. Yes, there is life after death, a life forever united with the Most High God.

As you wonder "what's it all about?" "Why am I here?" We unabashedly tell you, we have the true answer. The answer is Jesus.

Think about it. Would a God who created you out of love leave you to drift without direction. Would he not tell you how to love Him back?

We shout the answer. Yes!

God did not leave you orphaned. He did tell you how to love Him back. He not only told us, the Creator's actual Word became flesh and lived with us: His Word, His only Son. Our forefathers saw Him, spoke with Him, ate with Him, wrote of Him. His name is Jesus.

The Bible is His story. It tells of thousands of years of preparation for His coming in what's called the Old Testament. It tells his life in the Gospels in the New Testament. The Gospels tell us of his giving of His life nailed to a cross to die for you and me. But He did not stay dead. He rose!

After He rose, the people of the time saw Him, they heard Him, touched Him. He returned to his Father, the Creator, and has sent us His Spirit, His Spirit of Life.  That Spirit, the Holy Spirit, dwells in us.

When His Spirit came, the Church was born. His Spirit has guided and impelled us ever since, impelled us to tell you this. Woe to us if we do not tell you.

To say all there is in one word: Jesus!

My friends, God has visited His people. God has visited you and me. His name is Jesus. Evangelization is just a big word... to proclaim Jesus.

For 2000 years of struggle and growth and adaptation his little band has been proclaiming His name. My friends, His little band are called Christians. All of them are either Catholic or have their roots in the Catholic Church.

Praise you Jesus! You are Lord!
